Commissioned by Interior designers, Fox Linton Associates to create foyer artworks at Coworth Park Spa, which is part of the Dorchester Hotel Group
Five floor to ceiling panels depicting bulrushes are installed, circling around the entire hotel foyer, giving off an air of calm and traquility to the hotel’s spa guests
“Working with Debbie on a commission for Coworth Park Spa for the Dorchester Collection was a fantastic experience. It is great to see such talent in a recent graduate, and also such professionalism. We had a vision for the image we wanted to create, and from a series of photographs of natural landscapes, Debbie then developed scale line drawings for 5 large panels. Once we were happy with these, Debbie provided a small scale sample panel for our approval and we worked together to select suitable colour threads. I love the impact of her monochrome pieces, but it was also nice to be able to develop a soft colour palette that suited the subject matter and Spa environment. Debbie co-ordinated the installation of her panels with our supplier of acrylic frames, and we didn’t experience any issues throughout the process. The final pieces have received the most compliments and enquiries out of the 350 artworks supplied to this hotel, and I look forward to the next project that we can work together on in the future. I wish her the best of luck in her career.”
