Commissioned by DRAFTFCB in May 2012, to create a 16 x 2 metre advertising artwork for Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra centred on their slogan “Every note an experience”, to attract new visitors to the Orchestras upcoming concert
Inspired by the famous musical piece “The Moldau” by Bedrich Smetana, We visulised the musical themes and depicted the motives that Smetana had while composing in his head. The artwork grew out of the strings of violin to depict both wild and quiet times of the Vltava river; thus telling the story of this unique piece of music
‘PHILHARMONIKER – WHEN MUSIC FLOWS INTO PICTURES’ was widely acclaimed nationally and internationally , winning Bronze at 2013 Clio Awards and Bronze at 2013 New York Festivals Worlds Best Awards
“Ms. Smyth is a highly professional artist who is very easy to work with…. Her quick comprehension helped us to have a fully satisfying result in the end…During her stay in Hamburg for the realization of the project, Ms.Smyth has always been reliable, on time and always accurate on her work. She has been able to always work precisely under pressure. If we may add a more personal note, everybody in our team is a great admirer of her work.”
